Level II Trauma Center Experience

Trauma resulting from car accidents, pedestrian and bicycle mishaps, falls and other incidents can be life-threatening.  Our surgeons are part of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah’s Level II Trauma team and are on call 24/7 to treat those injuries.  Our team cares for approximately 400 trauma patients each year.  These dedicated providers are experienced surgeons able to provide critical operative care in emergency situations when timing is critical and potentially life-saving.  Whether you need emergency or traditional surgical care, our surgeons can be trusted to provide the skilled treatment and care you deserve.

Raymond Georgen, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Georgen is a Board Certified General surgeon. He is a graduate of Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He received his general surgery and trauma training at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Georgen specializes in robotic-assisted bariatric surgery, robotic-assisted and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, vascular surgery and emergency trauma care.

Jeffrey Burkett, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Burkett is a Board Certified General surgeon. He is a graduate of University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, receiving his general surgery and trauma training at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Burkett specializes in robotic-assisted lung surgery, retroperitoneal spine exposure, robotic-assisted and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, endovascular surgery, colorectal surgery, surgical oncology and emergency trauma care.

Kevin Wasco, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Wasco is a Board Certified General surgeon. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin, receiving his general surgery training at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, Madison, Wisconsin. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Wasco specializes in bariatric surgery, endocrine surgery, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and emergency trauma care.

Patrick Brennan, M.D., F.A.C.S

She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Her broad-based surgical practice includes robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgery, breast surgery, bariatric surgery, endoscopy, spine exposure, varicose veins, vascular surgery and emergency trauma care.

Dr. Edison is a board certified gastroenterologist who specializes in the medical management of GI Disorders including irritable bowl syndrome, crohn’s disease, colitis. He is a graduate of the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School, in Chicago, Illinois, receiving his internal medicine training at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He brings nearly 30 years of expertise to Surgical Associates. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.  He specializes in upper and lower endoscopy and ERCP.

Dr. Hong is a board certified general surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin, receiving his general surgery training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Hong specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, thoracic surgery, and endovascular surgery.

Dr. Luedtke is a board certified general and critical care surgeon. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, receiving his general surgery training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan and his surgical critical care fellowship training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He specializes in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, complex hernia repair, surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, critical care medicine and emergency trauma care.
